BPNote Privacy Policy
Hazelnut Works ("we," "us," or "our") sets out this Privacy Policy ("this Policy") to explain how we handle information for the iOS app "BPNote" (the "App").
Basic Policy
Health data recorded in the App — including blood pressure, pulse, weight, and body temperature — is, in principle, stored only on your device. It is not transmitted to or collected by our servers. Information is shared with external services only when you use the features described below, and only within the scope of the purposes stated for each feature.
Information We Collect
Dropbox Account User ID
If you use the sync feature, we obtain your Dropbox account user ID for the following purposes.
- Dropbox - Sync feature
- Dropbox - CSV data export feature
- Dropbox - CSV data import feature
Dropbox operations use the following library.
- The Official Dropbox Objective-C SDK
https://github.com/dropbox/dropbox-sdk-obj-c
Your recorded data itself is stored in your own Dropbox account, provided by Dropbox, Inc. We do not access or view its contents.
Health Data
The App integrates with Apple's Health app and registers the following recorded data with Health.
- Blood pressure (systolic/diastolic)
- Heart rate
- Weight
- Body temperature
Health app integration is an optional feature and operates independently of the App's core recording and management functions. All of the App's core features remain available even if you choose not to use this integration.
Crash Information
To investigate app failures and bugs, we collect app crash information via the App Store.
Purpose of Use
We use the information we collect for the following purposes.
- To provide the sync feature and the CSV data export/import features
- To provide data integration with the Health app
- To investigate app issues and maintain and improve app quality
- To respond to inquiries from users
We do not use information for any purpose other than those listed above.
Disclosure to Third Parties
Except as required by law, we will not disclose information we collect to any third party without your prior consent. We do not sell information we collect to any third party.
Data Management
We take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of information we collect and to otherwise manage it securely. The handling of information through Dropbox and Health app integration is subject to the respective privacy policies of Dropbox, Inc. and Apple Inc.
Reviewing and Changing Access Permissions
You can review, change, or revoke access permissions for Dropbox integration and Health data at any time from the iOS Settings app or the respective service's settings. Even if you disable an integration, the App's core features (recording and viewing data on your device) remain fully available.
Changes to This Policy
We may change the content of this Policy as necessary. Any revised Privacy Policy will take effect once it is posted within the App or on this page.
